Your solar power is fully installed by professional MSC registered fitters thus enabling you to earn income from selling back your electricity to the grid whilst saving money on your power bills.

Free Solar
Companies install solar on your property on a contract basis and they then benefit from selling the power back to the grid, you will only benefit from savings on your electricity bill. Beware in some cases, companies will bill you what would normally be sold back to the grid, if you need to repair the roof for what ever reason.

Think! if they are doing it its for a profit, so why not just do it yourself and get the total benefit with no contractual ties making selling your home easier.

Can I have solar PV?
YES, you can enjoy electricity courtesy of the sun's reliable energy. Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels convert sunlight directly into electricity that can be used for normal household consumption. All you require is a south facing roof
anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Why generate your own energy?
Tapping into a free, natural energy resource makes perfect sense in our current climate of dwindling oil reserves, rising fuel costs and global warming. Solar technology provides silent, pollution free power and has become the most common source of renewable energy in the world.

Will a solar panel produce electricity on a cloudy day?
Yes, a solar panel does produce electricity even when it is not placed in bright sunlight. On a normal cloudy day there is always enough so called diffuse light, by which the panel will produce electricity. However, the production of electricity is not as high as when the panels are placed in bright sunlight.

Will solar panels work in the winter?
Yes, solar panels work on light not heat. The amount of sun hours will be less in the winter, as the sun rises later and sets earlier.

How much maintenance do solar energy panels require?
Solar photovoltaic panels require little maintenance – no need to wash or dust. It is, however, important to place panels where they will remain clear of shade and debris. Thus you will have to wipe them off if too much snow or leaves fall on them.

Do I need planning permission?
No. From 6 April 2008 planning permission will not be required for solar panels, unless you live in a listed building. Even then most councils will allow installations in most cases.

Can solar panels add value to my property?
Yes, your homes value will increase in today's climate of high energy pricing.

A recent survey by MORI found people are willing to pay up to £10,000 more for a home built to high energy efficiency standards and estate agents have been raising the value of properties with solar panels compared to those without.

In the following video, John O'Shea of the Energy Saving Trust discusses the financial value a solar panel system adds to a property:

Will solar panels replace my energy bills fully?

No, you won't be able to totally replace your current energy supply, but you could get close with a realistic budget and the implementation of different technology combinations.
